1 FEBRUARY 2016, HONG KONG – World Mahjong Limited, owners and operators of the World Series of Mahjong have signed an agreement with Fairchild TV, the first Chinese media corporation to operate nationwide in Canada. Fairchild will broadcast the program produced by WSOM that feature the 2015 WSOM Championship Main Event held on December 5 and 6 in Macau at The Venetian Macao Resort. The program will be broadcast in early 2016.
More than 200,000 households across Canada watch Fairchild Television each day, roughly 70% of the whole Chinese population in Canada.
WSOM features the best mahjong players from around the world, all competing for cash prizes in an exhilarating tournament held in Asia’s entertainment capital.
